Introduction
Having joined his two forces, Vindicatus proceeded in a barbarous fashion to his final target. His plan was to quickly destroy the enemy force, torch the village and make a dash for the river crossing before Divios could bring his army down on the Lunares.Game 4 - The Last Enemy
The Headman of this village had wisely built on a hill and was clearly of a defensive mind-set. No fancy flanking moves here thank you. The Lunares (Army Blue) were forced to attack a fortified position uphill and despite their numerical advantage it was going to be a challenge.Starting position |
Battle is joined at the end of Turn 2 |
Blue is on the hill but is not getting on too well |
Breakthrough! End of Turn 6 |
Expulsion! End of Turn 8 |
Red finally was reduced to Exhaustion Point but too late - end of Turn 14 |
Next time - Flight to the ford (apologies to the Tolkien family)
What a difference a hill makes!, other headman take note!. Really fun campaign so far jack, it will be fun to see what the reds have in store for the enemy!.
ReplyDeleteCheers mate - the thing I like best about wargames is that despite having a plan things never go as expected which means I have to make it up as I go.
