The situation at the end of Season Six: The Elves were dominating.
The Troll is ME12 25mm Small Troll (Minifigs Mythical Earth range) and fits in nicely with 10mm figures.
The Elves were first to capture the Barrow. There their luck ended.
The Elf left flank was mauled by wolf-riding orcs. The Centre did better, as did their Cavalry on the right, however they reached Exhaustion Point a few turns before the Orcs without any Elfin boots remaining on the Barrow top.
When the Orcs also reached EP they were in full possession of the objective and had more surviving troops.
Well, MJT…got there!! A climactic battle to end on. Excellent stuff ๐๐ผ๐๐ผ, It’s been an interesting campaign to follow…and now Orcs in charge…..๐ณ. !!! How did you find using the larger board?
ReplyDeleteThanks Martin. The wider board didn't really make a difference in this game but hopefully will in the next one I've got planned!
DeleteAh, a teaser……..looking forward to the next ๐๐๐ผ. Any extra clue as to what you have up your sleeve for the next one?
DeleteHa! Just a vague notion right now
DeleteOooh…another tease ๐๐ณ ๐

DeleteA satisfying conclusion! I really like this format, it gives just enough detail for background for a campaign, and leads to a satisfying conclusion in a playable number of battles. Perhaps an invaders from across the sea can come and contest the orcs control, with maybe a revolt or two to go along with it...
ReplyDeleteCheers Mark. The knockout format is great for me as I tend to spend too much time thinking about Campaigns without actually playing them!
ReplyDeleteAfter episode II, I would not have bet even a copper coin on the Orcs, but here they are.
ReplyDeleteNor would I have Philotep and that's the great thing about the Knockout format - totally unpredictable
DeleteInteresting conclusion to the campaign and just goes to show that it's not always necessary to have complications to have a good campaign that gave your table-top battles a reason.
ReplyDeleteCheers Joe. Yes it's a nice simple way of playing some games and can lead to unexpected results!
