Felt like the Vard were going to lose that one. Was their general extremely lucky not to be slaughtered in the early stages?
ReplyDeleteI have to say I thought he was going to get killed in the early part of the game - luck of the devil!
DeleteFortuna smiles on the Vard once again. Another close battle, but they definitely have the momentum. I'm looking forward to the next battle.
ReplyDeleteFortunate indeed! Can their luck hold...?
DeleteIt's looking catastrophic for the Caliphate - unless the final army pulls off 'Brothers Horatii' stroke!
ReplyDeleteLosing one army on the first turn could be regarded unfortunate; losing two looks like carelessness (apologies to Mr Wilde).
DeleteI'm expecting fortunes to change on turn two!
I’ve just caught up with your campaign reports … and I’m thoroughly enjoying them! You’ve managed to produce a real cracker of a campaign that is developing a compelling narrative and makes your readers want to know what will happen next.
ReplyDeleteAll the best,
Bob
Thank you Bob, I'm glad you're enjoying the Campaign!
DeleteThe Vard General certainly “pushed his luck” in this battle. I suspect he may well regard it as a sign of his superior generalship (knowing when to take a chance and when to play it safe/cautious). Let’s see how the campaign progresses ⚔️⚔️🎲🎲
ReplyDeleteBest wishes for a happy New Year.
Cheers,
Geoff
