Pareidolia

Pareidolia (noun) "the illusory perception of meaningful patterns or images of familiar things in random or amorphous data, as a face seen on the moon" (Dictionary.com)

Can anyone else see a face or is it just me?

It's in the trees - it's coming!

A late 1970s Ent crashes out of the forest  - the Hinchliffe Miniatures Ent, from the Peter Gilder designed range of Fantasy Minis, is once again available thanks to Mike at Broadsword Miniatures.
Hopefully there will be a game to report soon...

  1. I have a small number of the Broadsword Miniatures - the Goblins in particular are nice ‘n’ quirky (very much the Old School look). In addition, the axe wielding superhero serves as a barbarian Giant in my 10mm & 15mm armies. And who could resist the two-headed dragon??
I’m pretty sure we all search for familiar patterns wherever we look - even when (the vast, vast majority of the time) there’s “nothing there” 😉
I look forward to reading your next battle report ⚔️⚔️
    Cheers,
    Geoff

  2. Is this concept linked to conspiracy theories? People looking for master plans when it’s more likely a series of accidents?
Anyway, there’s definitely a face in that tree. The rabbit in the cloud told me.

    1. Quite possibly true Chris, though that could just be paranoia due to Conspiracy Theorists spending WAY too much time on the social media site formerly known as Twitter?
By the way, don't believe everything that rabbit tells you...

    1. The Goblins are great figures - perhaps you could put them in the service of the Witch Queen..?

    1. Cheers James. The pic was taken some months ago and the tree next to him has since been taken out in a storm, but the old Ent is still standing!
